On March 20, a group of leaders of Yixing visited Far East Group, including Shen Jian, Secretary of Yixing Municipal Party Committee and Secretary of the Party Working Committee of Yixing Economic & Technological Development Zone, Zhu Baoqiang, Deputy Director of Yixing Municipal People’s Congress, Deputy Secretary of the Party Working Committee of Yixing Environmental Protection & Technology Industrial Park and Party Secretary of Gaocheng Town, and Zhou Feng, Office Director of Yixing Municipal Party Committee. Leaders of Far East Group received these guests and attended symposium, such as Jiang Xipei, Founder, Chairman of the Board and Party Secretary of the Far East Holding Group, Jiang Chengzhi, member of the Board of Directors and President of Far East Smarter Energy Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as: Smarter Energy, stock code “600869”) and Jiang Huajun, investor, member of the Board of Directors, Vice President and CEO of Smarter Energy.

　　Jiang Chengzhi introduced the company’s operation and reported the strategic planning for 2017 to 2020. Since its founding in 1985, Far East Group has persisted in the development strategy of “main business + investment”, been committed to becoming a “global specialist of investment management, world-leading smart energy and smart city system service provider” and adhered to the mission of “creating value and serving the society”. By 2020, its operating revenue will exceed RMB 135 billion. The operating revenue, market value and brand value of Smarter Energy will exceed RMB 100 billion, RMB 150 billion and RMB 100 billion, respectively. In addition, the annual average income of employees will exceed RMB 200,000.

　　Jiang Xipei said that Far East Group spared no efforts to produce high-quality products, and persisted in developing domestic and international markets at the same pace. In addition, the company achieved a new round of transformation and upgrading as well as strategic development through such methods as merger and reorganization. He pointed out that Yixing boasted a good foundation for industrial development and obvious strengths, but it still needed to learn successful experience of other provinces and foreign countries, cultivate excellent enterprises and expand the brand awareness. He encouraged entrepreneurs of Yixing to keep learning so as to boost the enterprise development and social progress through growth and improvement of entrepreneurs. Meanwhile, he earnestly requested Yixing Municipal Party Committee and Yixing Municipal People’s Government to support and help the implementation of the project of Detroit New Energy Electric Vehicle from policy and strategy so as to plan and construct the project at the same time.

　　Shen Jian said that they were full of confidence in and expectation on Far East Group through the visit. He suggested that Far East Group should adhere to steady development policies and make main business more stable, bigger and stronger. It was crucial to support the economic development of Yixing. Beyond that, Far East Group should actively seek new economic growth points, vigorously conduct technological innovations and continuously improve capabilities of technological innovation so as to maintain the leading position. In addition, he expressed concerns about the project of Smarter Energy Industrial Park and Detroit Electric project, and addressed that Yixing Municipal Party Committee and Yixing Municipal People’s Government would fully support and coordinate all projects of Far East Group so as to develop the economy of Yixing.

　　On November 28, 2016, Far East First New Energy Co., Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Smarter Energy, signed the Cooperation Agreement on Smarter Energy Industrial Park with the People’s Government of Gaocheng, Yixing, Jiangsu. RMB 5 billion was planned to be invested in the construction of Smarter Energy Industrial Park and the industrial chain project of 6GW high-capacity power and stored-energy lithium battery in Gaocheng. On February 28, 2017, Smarter Energy signed a contract with Detroit Electric and Yixing Environmental Protection and Technology Industrial Park Development Co., Ltd. to form a joint venture Detroit Electric Vehicles Co., Ltd. for R&D, production and sales of finished electric vehicles, parts and components as well as relevant technologies. The implementation of these two projects has been crucial for Far East Group to realize transformation and upgrading and also strategically significant to boost the economic development of Yixing.
